Drawing influence from her mother and connections to her Latin roots, Ximena’s interest in fashion began at the age of 8 years old. She went on to study fashion design at FIDM in Los Angeles and designed a sportswear line called Racerette, which was sold at major retailers Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s. With her sights set on success, she moved to New York City in 2004 and obtained a position as Assistant Designer with Victoria’s Secret. She earned the opportunity to present her S/S and F/W 2006 collections at New York Fashion Week and was invited by head of Elite Models, John Casablancas, to present in the Dominican Republic for Elite Model Latino. Drawn by warmer climates, Ximena moved back to the west coast in 2006, setting up her current studio in Los Angeles.

Today Ximena Valero’s label has expanded into a comprehensive line of dresses, sportswear, swimwear, shoes and accessories. As the Transformable Designer, her bold design sense and fresh take on form come at a time that needs it most.
